Construction company NCC secures two asphalt-laying contracts in northern Sweden worth Skr175m ($18.68m). The projects involve laying asphalt on road sections between Avakko and Lappeasuando as well as Grimsmark and Gumboda. NCC will provide 66,000t of asphalt for the first phase scheduled for completion between 2025 and 2027.

The second contract covers the laying of 82,000t of asphalt on the European route E10 between Avakko and Lappeasuando, with work expected to be carried out between 2025 and 2028. NCC will also undertake road reinforcement measures on the same route for the Swedish Transport Administration, using environmentally friendly asphalt.

The total contract value will be recorded in the NCC Industry business segment in the third quarter of 2025. NCC Industry head Johan Brus highlighted the importance of maintaining roads in northern Sweden for society to function properly. NCC aims to improve infrastructure quality in the region through these projects.

Recently, NCC was commissioned by Jönköping Municipality to construct a new nursing home and group home valued at Skr370m. The nursing home will have three floors with 97 residential units, staff operation areas, recreational spaces, and administrative functions. The project will be executed under a fixed-price construction contract.
