GRI Bio, Inc. reports positive 6-week interim lung function results in Phase 2a study for IPF treatment, with no decline in FVC observed. Biomarker data also shows promise for anti-fibrotic effects. Topline data expected in Q3 2025. Currently, only two approved drugs are available for IPF treatment, with limited efficacy and side effects. The study includes 35 subjects with IPF, randomized for GRI-0621 or placebo, and will assess safety, biomarker changes, and pharmacokinetics. GRI-0621 has shown safety and tolerability in earlier studies, with receptor selectivity consistent with previous findings. Topline results anticipated in Q3.
