Red Mountain Mining has acquired 87 claims in the Utah Antimony Project, focusing on gold and critical minerals. The project is located 11km east of Antimony, Utah, secured through direct staking with the US Bureau of Land Management, costing A$138,000 fully funded from internal cash reserves.
The company’s initial exploration program aims to map north-south structures associated with antimony mineralization at Antimony Canyon and Dry Wash Canyon, extending into Red Mountain’s claims. A desktop study is underway, assessing available magnetic and topographic data, potentially augmented by high-resolution drone magnetics and surface reconnaissance mapping.
Preliminary work will help define areas for more intensive follow-up studies, including ground electromagnetics to detect sulphide mineralization beneath shallow cover. Red Mountain is considering shallow trenching, auger, and rotary air blast drilling to effectively test for antimony through the transported cover.
Red Mountain managing director Lincoln Liu highlighted the project’s alignment with the US Government’s push to secure critical mineral supply chains domestically. The project lies adjacent to Trigg Minerals’ Antimony Canyon Project, positioning RMX and shareholders to rapidly advance the Utah Antimony Project with an experienced technical team.
