GlobalLogic and Flexware Innovation, Hitachi Group companies, deployed Flexware’s LIFT intralogistics software at Hitachi Rail’s new Maryland facility to enhance material movement and address orchestration challenges. LIFT 3.0 integrates with Hitachi Rail’s systems, orchestrates material movement using AGVs, and aims to improve interoperability in highly digitalised manufacturing environments. This deployment aligns with the US manufacturing transformation towards robotics and AI integration. Additionally, GlobalLogic partnered with Ericsson to deploy a private 5G network at the facility, enabling advanced automation, worker safety, real-time data capture, digital twins, predictive maintenance, and IoT-driven material transport. This project demonstrates the power of private 5G in driving Industry 4.0 advancements.
