Australian whisky maker Lark Distilling appoints Stuart Gregor as new CEO, taking over from Satya Sharma on December 31. Gregor, a non-executive director since last year, co-founded Four Pillars Gin, acquired by Lion in 2023. Lark Distilling reports a 12% rise in net sales revenue to A$15.6m in 2025 financial year.
Lark Distilling chairman praises Gregor’s leadership qualities and passion for Australian spirits. Gregor’s experience includes being president of the Australian Distillers Association. Despite revenue growth, Lark Distilling transitioned to distributor-led sales model resulting in a decrease in gross profit percentage to 64%.
In 2025, Lark Distilling’s gross profit increased to A$10m, with a net loss of A$11.3m. The company’s EBITDA level showed a loss of A$5.9m. Gregor expresses excitement to lead Lark, highlighting the rare opportunity in the Australian distilling landscape following the successful sale of Four Pillars to Lion.
