Bronx removes ‘Trump Links’ sign as Bally’s takes over Donald Trump’s former 18-hole public course
From Fortune Media:
New York City officials have removed Donald Trump’s name from a Bronx golf course to sever ties with the former president. The rebranding of the Trump Links course to Bally Links came months after the Trump Organization offloaded its operations to Bally’s Corporation. This change was described by Mayor Eric Adams as a major upgrade.
The Trump Organization had been managing the course since 2015 but New York City moved to scrap the contract after Trump’s incitement of rioters during the Jan. 6th insurrection. The Trump Organization then sold operating rights to Bally’s for $60 million in September. Former president Donald Trump had changed his legal residence to Palm Beach, Florida, in 2019 and a decision is expected regarding the civil fraud trial by the end of the month.
