Shares of AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. hit a record low on Friday, down 1.5% and on pace for a four-day losing streak. The movie-theater chain’s stock is currently trading at $4.63, which is more than 98% down from its all-time high of $339.05 in June 2021. AMC was previously a meme-stock phenomenon boosted by Reddit’s WallStreetBets crowd, but its recent performance reflects the demise of its meme-stock status. The stock is down 89.6% in the last 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 19.6%.
