Indian shares were slightly up after India and the U.S. agreed to accelerate talks on a bilateral trade agreement. The BSE Sensex rose 311 points, while the NSE Nifty index climbed 99 points. Bharat Electronics saw a 2.5% increase in shares after securing new orders worth Rs. 712 crore. Other top gainers included Larsen & Toubro, Trent, Tata Motors, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and UltraTech Cement. RailTel rose 1.8% after securing a work order worth Rs. 105.74 crore. Coal India gained 1% after winning a bid for a rare earth exploration block. Tech Mahindra also saw a 1% increase after LIC raised its stake in the company.
