BW Offshore’s BW Opal FPSO has achieved First Gas for the Barossa LNG project, marking a critical transition from project to operations phase. The next milestone is the Interim Performance Test, followed by Practical Completion to trigger the 15-year firm contract period. The FPSO will process 850 MMSCFD of gas and 11,000 barrels per day of condensate in the Barossa gas field offshore Darwin.
