In the past five years, Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) has seen a remarkable increase of over 2,000%. Unrealized Bitcoin gains accounted for 99% of the company’s Q2 2025 net income, with the data analytics software side bringing in $115 million in revenue for the latest quarter.
Strategy, known for its software, is now the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin globally. Bitcoin’s rally has allowed the company to leverage its holdings to borrow money to purchase more Bitcoin. The company’s market value is almost $98 billion, while its crypto holdings are valued at nearly $74 billion.
Despite its success, a prolonged dip in Bitcoin’s price could impact Strategy’s bottom line and stock market value. Investing in Strategy should be carefully considered, as the Motley Fool Stock Advisor team has identified other stocks with potential for significant returns.
