Boeing is moving F/A-18 fighter jet’s service life modification (SLM) work from St. Louis to support future programs. SLM involves upgrades to extend an aircraft’s operational lifespan. The relocation will start in 2026, finishing in 2027, freeing up space for next-gen platforms. The site also supports other aircraft production and was chosen for the F-47 program.
