Japan stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the Nikkei 225 down 0.66%. The worst performers were Toho Co., Ltd., Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Materials Corp. Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. and Nippon Yusen K.K were top gainers. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The Nikkei 225 options implied volatility was up to 22.47, a 1-month high. Crude oil for March delivery was down to $72.48 a barrel, while Brent oil for delivery in March fell to $78.11 a barrel. The US Dollar Index Futures was up to 102.67. Overall, it was a mixed day for trading in Japan.
