At the World Economic Forum 2024, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken highlighted America’s strategies for addressing Middle East tensions, the Ukraine conflict, and U.S.-China relations.

Blinken emphasized the need for a “different equation” in the Middle East, underlining the necessity of a pathway to a Palestinian state for lasting peace and regional security.

On Ukraine, Blinken expressed strong support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence, emphasizing the country’s resilience and strategic importance in the global supply chain.

Discussing U.S.-China relations, Blinken described them as “the most complex and consequential,” pointing out efforts to prevent conflict and address differences directly. He also emphasized the U.S. and global commitment to maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
