The NBA and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced a multi-year partnership to power the league’s innovation, including the WNBA, NBA G League, and more. AWS will become the Official Cloud and Cloud AI Partner, launching NBA Inside the Game powered by AWS to provide fans with interactive experiences and insights.

The new platform will use AWS’s AI infrastructure to enhance live broadcasts and fan experiences across NBA platforms. Features like “Play Finder” will analyze player movements and strategies to provide comprehensive analytics and insights for fans and broadcasters. AWS VP Francessca Vasquez highlighted the partnership’s potential for reimagining basketball through cloud and AI technology.

NBA teams will have access to ML models powering Play Finder to improve front office and coaching workflows. Fans will also benefit from a real-time alert system within Play Finder, providing historical context and strategic insights during live games. The partnership expands the NBA’s relationship with Amazon, with Prime Video streaming 66 regular-season NBA matchups globally.
