Wizz Air Holdings Plc. reported carrying 6.27 million passengers in September 2025, an 8.8% increase from the previous year. Capacity also rose 7.6% to 6.75 million seats. The monthly load factor was 92.8%, up from 91.7% last year. CO2 emissions per RPK decreased by 4.8% to 49.8 grams in September, attributed to newer aircraft and higher load factors. Wizz Air will be closing its Vienna base by March 2026 due to unsustainable cost increases in recent years. This decision comes after the airline recorded emissions below 50 grams per RPK for the third time in seven years.
