Canadian bulk hauler Trimac Transportation has acquired Houston-based chemical carrier Service Transport Company (STC), adding scale to its U.S. chemical transportation network. STC, founded in 1965, serves local chemical producers with a fleet of 290 tractors, 300 drivers, and 750 trailers across the Gulf Coast. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Trimac President and CEO Matt Faure welcomed STC into the Trimac family, praising their safety, reliability, and customer service. Trimac, with over 140 locations in the U.S. and Canada and 3,400 employees, sees the acquisition as aligning perfectly with their long-term growth strategy. Earlier this year, Trimac acquired Searcy Trucking and Watt & Stewart to expand its flatbed offering.
