Soybeans are trading lower on Wednesday, with November contracts struggling to stay above $10. The national average Cash Bean price is down to $9.20 ¼, while Soymeal futures are down $1.90 to $3.70/ton. Soy Oil futures, however, are trading higher, up 60 to 64 points.
The soybean market is feeling pressure due to a lack of export business, especially as we enter the peak export season. This ongoing trend is contributing to losses in trading.
Analysts predict the August soybean crush to total 196.4 million bushels. The Fats & Oils report, originally scheduled for release today, has been delayed due to the government shutdown.
As of today, Nov 25 Soybeans are at $9.99 1/4, down 2 1/2 cents, while Nearby Cash is at $9.20 1/4, down 4 3/4 cents. Jan 26 Soybeans are at $10.17 1/4, down 3 cents, and Mar 26 Soybeans are at $10.33, down 2 3/4 cents.
