Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD is unevenly distributed with $700 million on Ethereum DeFi and 85% of holders on XRP Ledger. The majority of RLUSD holders, 85.2%, are on XRPL. Ethereum has 88.5% of RLUSD tokens, while XRPL has 12.5%. XRPL sees more institutional activity compared to Ethereum.

Ethereum-based RLUSD holders total 5,448 entities, with Aave’s contract holding $330.4 million. Ripple deployer address controls $114.63 million, while Curve’s pool has $24 million. XRPL has 25,450 active addresses, with Ethereum recording $4.87 billion monthly volume and XRPL $112.42 million.

XRPL attracts robust institutional participation, like VERT Capital and OpenEden Digital, with $169.6 million in U.S. Treasury securities. XRPL outpaces Ethereum by 2.6x in institutional activity due to its low-fee, high-speed design.
