Johnson & Johnson released positive results from a Phase 2b study of icotrokinra in adults with ulcerative colitis. The study met its primary endpoint, with 36.5% of patients on the highest dose achieving endoscopic improvement at Week 12. Patients on 400 mg of icotrokinra had a clinical response rate of 63.5%, compared to 27% for placebo. The company has initiated Phase 3 trials for UC and Crohn’s disease. Additionally, icotrokinra is being evaluated for plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. A New Drug Application was submitted to the FDA in July 2025 for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in adults and pediatric patients.
