S&P Dow Jones Indices, a division of S&P Global ($SPGI), has introduced the S&P Digital Markets 50 Index, blending traditional equities with cryptocurrencies. The index combines 15 major digital assets with 35 publicly traded companies related to blockchain and crypto sectors. Developed in collaboration with Dinari, the index requires eligible stocks to have a market cap of $100 million and cryptocurrencies to exceed $300 million. No single component can exceed 5% of the index’s weighting, which will rebalance quarterly. The index covers companies in blockchain, digital infrastructure, financial services, and crypto applications, providing a transparent tool for investors to track the digital asset market.

S&P Global ($SPGI) expands its digital asset index offerings by integrating crypto and equity benchmarks. Matthew Kerr, a data analyst at Quiver Quantitative specializing in single-stock research and government datasets, authored the article.
