US prebiotic soda brand Poppi is set to launch in the UK early next year. Carlsberg Britvic, the UK arm of the brewing giant and PepsiCo’s partner, signed an exclusive deal with a retailer. Poppi will be available in the UK in the next four months, generating over $500m in annual sales in 2024. PepsiCo acquired Poppi for $1.95bn in March. Homegrown ‘gut-friendly’ soda brands like Hip Pop and Living Things have also secured UK retail listings. Carlsberg Britvic is eyeing Mexican-style beer and ‘functional’ soft drinks to fill gaps in their portfolio.
