Popular crypto wallet MetaMask now supports Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange, for users to speculate on various cryptocurrencies. This move is in response to the rising popularity of perpetual futures, allowing traders to leverage bets on assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum without expiration dates.

MetaMask aims to become an on-chain platform for personal finance, integrating Polymarket later this year. Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange, is gaining traction with its HYPE token rising 2.4% to $46.12 on Wednesday, marking a 76% increase in price year-to-date.

Centralized platforms still dominate the volume and open interest for perpetual futures, but decentralized options are slowly gaining ground. MetaMask, known for its Ethereum focus, has expanded to support Bitcoin, Solana, and in-wallet token exchanges. A new token release and rewards program are in the works for MetaMask users.
