Santhera Pharmaceuticals has partnered with Biomedica Group to distribute Agamree in Russia for treating Duchenne muscular dystrophy in patients aged four and above. Sales are set to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with Santhera receiving a percentage of net sales. This partnership will expand access to Agamree through managed access programs, benefiting around 1,400 DMD patients in Russia. CEO Dario Eklund highlighted the importance of this agreement in providing crucial treatment to more children. Agamree, a novel drug, acts by binding to the same receptor as glucocorticoids. Vamorolone, the active pharmaceutical ingredient, is the focus of the distribution deal. Santhera Pharmaceuticals’ stock closed 0.77% lower at CHF 10.36 on the Swiss Stock Exchange.
