Cotton futures closed lower on Tuesday, with contracts down 68 to 71 points. The US dollar index rose to $98.312, and crude oil prices were 36 cents per barrel higher. The Seam reported 633 bales sold at an average price of 60.70 cents/lb on October 6. ICE cotton stocks remained unchanged on 10/3. The Cotlook A Index increased by 20 points to 76.65 cents.
Cotton prices closed at 62.02 for Oct 25, down 68 points. Dec 25 cotton closed at 64.46, down 68 points, while Mar 26 cotton closed at 66.38, down 71 points.
