Ethereum developers introduce Kohaku roadmap to enhance wallet privacy and security, creating a modular framework for developers and advanced users. Project includes SDK for secure wallet functions and reference wallet based on Ambire for increased control and privacy. Collaboration with key Ethereum ecosystem teams, project open-source on GitHub.

Kohaku aims to reduce wallet dependence on centralized services, offering private sending and receiving, IP address hiding, separate DApp accounts, and P2P transaction broadcasting. Social recovery options like ZK Email and Anon Aadhaar enable privacy-preserving identity verification. Long-term goal is to enhance wallet security at the device level for safe DApp interaction.

Ethereum Foundation establishes Privacy Cluster initiative with 47 researchers, engineers, and cryptographers to develop privacy features at the protocol level. Collaboration with Privacy and Scaling Explorations team to introduce private payments, confidential identity systems, and zero-knowledge infrastructure directly on Ethereum’s layer-1 blockchain. Other projects include Private Reads & Writes, Private Proving, and Private Identities.
