Aecon Group Inc. has finalized a $609 million design-build contract with the Montreal Port Authority for the Port of Montreal Expansion project. The project, set to begin in 2026 and complete in 2030, includes preparatory work, construction of dock infrastructure, quay walls, and return walls. Aecon’s role in the project will strengthen the Canadian economy and enhance international trade. The Contrecoeur terminal will be part of the largest container port in Eastern Canada, connecting to major rail and highway networks, benefiting Canadian importers and exporters.
