United Airlines has unveiled its summer 2026 international travel plan, focusing on smaller European cities. New routes include Newark to Split, Croatia, and Bari, Italy, starting April 30. The carrier will also fly from Newark to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, on May 22, targeting high-spending travelers seeking nonstop flights to unique destinations.

United continues to expand its international network, competing with Delta for luxury travelers. The new routes feature lie-flat Polaris cabins, attracting customers looking for premium travel experiences. United’s strategy includes adding nonstop flights to Iceland, South Korea, and Scotland, while maintaining routes to destinations like Greenland and Israel.

United’s senior vice president, Patrick Quayle, confirmed the airline’s commitment to previously announced destinations like Nuuk, Greenland, for 2026. The carrier also plans to increase service to Tel Aviv, Israel, with a third daily flight from Newark. The focus on international expansion aims to offer travelers diverse and convenient options beyond major European capitals.
