Kimbal Musk, Elon’s brother and Tesla director, has over 1.4 million shares. Vaibhav Taneja, Tesla’s CFO, holds over 1.2 million shares valued at $544 million. Director Ira Ehrenpreis has over 855,000 shares worth $372 million.
Kimbal Musk co-founded Zip2 Corporation with Elon and is a Tesla director with a strong understanding of mission-driven ventures. Vaibhav Taneja, a CPA, became Tesla’s CFO in 2023 and guided its financial stability. Ira Ehrenpreis, a director since 2007, brings decades of venture capital experience to Tesla. James Murdoch, another Tesla director, also holds hundreds of thousands of shares in the company. James Murdoch, a director at Tesla since 2017, owns 794,306 shares worth $345 million. He brings international market knowledge and new technology experience to the company. Son of media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, he was on News Corporation’s board from 2013 to 2020.
