Donald Trump 2020 election indictment: Divorce records unsealed revealing affair among prosecutors

A judge has ruled that court records involving a special prosecutor hired in a case against Donald Trump and accused of an affair with a district attorney will be public. The judge also put off a final decision on whether the district attorney will have to sit for questioning in the divorce case.

Willis has defended her hiring of Wade and has accused his estranged wife of attempting to obstruct her criminal election interference case. The allegations threaten to taint the prosecution and damage Wade’s qualifications as a prosecutor.

Documents filed in court show Wade bought plane tickets in Willis’ name and his lawyer argues there is no reasonable explanation apart from a romantic relationship. It’s one of four cases Trump is facing as he vies to return to the White House.

Prosecutors are using a statute normally associated with mobsters to accuse the former president, lawyers and other aides of a “criminal enterprise” to keep him in power.
