One of Boeing Co.’s biggest customers has lost confidence amid quality lapses that climaxed with a mid-air emergency on an Alaska Airlines flight. United Airlines Holdings Inc. CEO Kirby has voiced his concerns over Boeing’s management and has reached out to US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. The White House is monitoring discussions but has not indicated a response. The Transportation Department can enforce measures against Boeing. Buttigieg had emphasized that the FAA would conduct a thorough review of Boeing’s operations. Neither the White House, United, nor Boeing has commented on the situation.
