Apple has rebranded its streaming service Apple TV+ to Apple TV, in line with its smart TV device and app. The change was quietly announced with the debut of “F1: The Movie.”
Since its 2019 launch, Apple TV+ has become a major player in streaming, winning over 550 awards and 2,500+ nominations. Hits like Ted Lasso and Coda, which won an Oscar, have boosted its popularity.
This is Apple’s first name change for the service, following industry trends. AAPL closed at $247.66, up 0.97%, on NasdaqGS, and is trading after hours at $247.27, down 0.16%.
