Webster Financial Corp. reported a fourth-quarter net income of $181.23 million, or $1.05 per share, compared to $240.59 million, or $1.38 per share, in the prior year. Excluding charges, adjusted earnings would have been $1.46 per share. Net interest income decreased to $571.02 million, and non-interest income plummeted to $63.82 million. Operating revenue declined to $634.8 million, with a provision for credit losses of $36.00 million.
