Walmart CEO Doug McMillon stated that this new offering will revolutionize eCommerce shopping experiences. The partnership aims to simplify everyday purchases. The launch date for this feature is yet to be specified, but it is expected to be available “soon.” OpenAI has recently launched similar offerings for Shopify and Etsy sellers, and this partnership with Walmart marks a significant expansion into online commerce. Walmart has also been working on integrating AI into its operations and consumer-facing offerings, including AI shopping assistants and AI technology at Sam’s Club. Walmart’s promotion of “AI literacy” for its employees highlights the company’s commitment to AI technology. Shares of Walmart rose nearly 5% following the announcement of the partnership with OpenAI.
