Commerce Bancshares, Inc. reported an increase in net income for the third quarter, with earnings per share at $1.06 compared to $1.01 the previous year. Net interest income rose to $279.46 million, while non-net interest income increased to $161.51 million. Analysts had expected earnings of $1.1 per share. Net loans also increased to 17.33 billion and deposits rose to 24.78 billion. In pre-market trading, Commerce Bancshares is up 0.25% at $56.80 on the Nasdaq.
