Emerita Resources Corp. reports promising diamond drilling results at El Cura deposit, with drill hole EC080 extending mineralization 90m to the west. The Company approves an additional 12,000 meters of drilling to expand the deposit at El Cura, part of the Iberian Belt West project with three VMS deposits.
Recent drilling highlights at El Cura include high-grade intercepts such as drill hole EC080, which yielded 4.1m grading 3.9% copper, 3.6% lead, 8.5% zinc, 4.08 g/t gold, and 96.39 g/t silver. Additional holes like EC069, EC070, EC077, and EC075 also returned significant mineralization, showcasing strong continuity of high-grade zones.
Emerita continues to discover high gold and copper grades at El Cura, with several holes producing grades exceeding 4.0 g/t gold and 5.0% copper. Notably, drill hole EC080 extended the deposit’s western boundary by 90m, indicating open mineralization to the west and at depth, reinforcing the deposit’s significant potential.
Historic workings at El Cura were limited, with only 300 tonnes produced in 1882. Recent exploration suggests an intact, undeveloped deposit with high potential. Emerita’s mapping shows intense boxwork, gossan, and chloritization, indicating strong potential for further VMS deposits.
Emerita President, Joaquin Merino, praises recent drilling results at El Cura, highlighting zones of significant enrichment and the deposit’s persistence to the west and at depth. With consistent high-grade results and deposit expansion, Emerita plans to extend the drilling program by 12,000 meters to explore the western and deeper sections further.
