Amazon.com announced the closure of its UK comparison site, Amazon Insurance Store, causing shares in Money Supermarket to rise 3.5% to a nine-day high. The comparison site launched in Oct 2022 with insurance prices provided by Ageas UK, Co-op and LV=. Jefferies analysts noted that investors see Amazon as less of a threat in the retail insurance industry. Shares in Future, which owns GoCompare, remained unchanged.
