Updated data from the Phase 1/2 RAINFOL™-01 trial showed rinatabart sesutecan (Rina-S®) 100 mg/m2 demonstrated 50% confirmed objective response rate (ORR) in endometrial cancer patients. A Phase 3 trial is underway, and the FDA granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation to Rina-S for advanced endometrial cancer. The study results were presented at the ESMO Congress, showing encouraging signals for providing more treatment options for patients in the future. The safety and efficacy of Rina-S are being further evaluated in ongoing clinical trials, with no significant ocular toxicities observed so far.
Rina-S is an investigational ADC with a novel antibody targeting FRα, currently undergoing late-stage development in various clinical trials. Genmab, the biotechnology company behind Rina-S, aims to redefine possibilities for patients with gynecologic cancers. The FDA granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation to Rina-S for the treatment of adult patients with recurrent or progressive EC who have previously received platinum-containing regimens and PD-(L)1 therapy. Genmab continues to expand its clinical trial program for Rina-S to address unmet needs in ovarian, endometrial, and other cancers.
