However, Haley is determined to continue her push in the race and is gearing up for the South Carolina primary.

Haley’s future in the race is now the topic of crypto betting. The prediction market, Polymarket, allows users to wager on whether Haley will stay in the race until the South Carolina primary. The betting market currently has $62,000 wagered, with yes at 43 cents and no at 59 cents, indicating around a 42% chance of Haley dropping out before the South Carolina primary.

As Trump continues to lead, concerns have been raised about Haley’s decision to stay in the race. Donors and supporters have urged her to drop out, citing potential harm to her chances in future elections. Despite this, Haley has over a dozen fundraisers booked and is focusing on South Carolina, where she served as the governor, in her campaign ads.

While sports betting is legal in many states, election betting remains closed off in the U.S. However, the prediction market for the 2024 election has seen significant activity, surpassing betting markets for other events. DraftKings CEO expressed his hope for political betting on presidential elections to be allowed in the U.S. in the future. Polymarket could see increased attention for its political betting, becoming one of its biggest markets.
