Avacta Therapeutics announces promising results from the Phase 1a clinical trial of faridoxorubicin, showing a more than doubling of median progression-free survival in patients with salivary gland cancer and a disease control rate of 91%. No maximum tolerated dose was reached, even at doses up to 385 mg/m², with no severe cardiac toxicity observed up to cumulative doses of 550 mg/m². The trial data also demonstrate a reduction in toxicities associated with conventional doxorubicin therapy. These findings showcase the potential of the pre|CISION® platform to provide meaningful benefits for patients with limited therapeutic options.
