TotalEnergies starts Iraq’s $27 billion Gas Growth Integrated Project after resolving disputes. The project includes the Ratawi oil field, a 1GW solar farm, and a seawater treatment plant. Total’s deal with Iraq aims for 120,000 b/d production by 2026 and solar power by 2025.

BP to develop Iraq’s Kirkuk oil and gas fields, producing 245,000 b/d currently. The fields, discovered in 1927, hold an estimated 10,000 million barrels. Iraq, OPEC’s second-largest producer, heavily relies on crude oil exports for revenue.
