Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) and Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) announced an expansion of their partnership to deploy an AI supercluster with next-gen AMD Instinct MI450 Series GPUs. Oracle will be the first hyperscaler to offer this publicly. The deployment will start in Q3 2026 and expand in 2027. The superclusters will be powered by AMD’s “Helios” rack design.
The AI superclusters will use the AMD Instinct MI450 Series GPUs, next-gen AMD EPYC CPUs, and next-gen AMD Pensando advanced networking. This optimized architecture will provide maximum performance, scalability, and energy efficiency for large-scale AI training and inference. AMD operates in three segments: Data Center, Client & Gaming, and Embedded, while Oracle offers products and services for enterprise IT environments worldwide.
AMD and Oracle’s partnership expansion aims to help customers achieve next-gen AI scale with the deployment of the AI supercluster. The collaboration builds on years of co-innovation and will feature the AMD Instinct MI450 Series GPUs. Oracle will lead the way in offering this AI supercluster powered by AMD’s latest technology, starting in 2026 and expanding in the following years.
