Stock market to ‘nowhere?’ Experts see more trouble ahead in China

Investors are hesitant to put money into China, as market returns have not matched the country’s economic growth. ETF Action’s Mike Akins highlights concerns about China’s stock market volatility and lackluster returns, leading to a focus on emerging markets outside of China.

Geopolitical tensions with China are also impacting investor confidence. Franklin Templeton Investments’ David Mann points out that the Hang Seng Index is down over 6% this year and nearly 30% in the past 52 weeks. This is contributing to the hesitancy among investors to engage with the Chinese market.
