Student loan provider Sallie Mae (NASDAQ:SLM) missed revenue expectations in Q3 CY2025, with sales up 42.2% year on year to $546 million. GAAP profit was $0.63 per share, 20.8% below analysts’ estimates. SLM’s net interest income was $373 million, below analyst estimates by 2.5%. Pre-tax profit was $185.8 million, with an EPS (GAAP) of $0.63. Full-year EPS guidance is $3.25 at the midpoint, beating estimates by 5.3%. Sallie Mae, originally a government-sponsored enterprise, privatized in 2004 and provides private education loans and financial services. Despite quarterly revenue falling short, the stock traded up 5% to $28.10 after reporting.
