Holcim plans to spin off its North American business and list it in the United States in the first half of 2025. Miljan Gutovic will take over as CEO, replacing Jan Jenisch, while Jenisch will lead the U.S. listing to improve its valuation. The company will focus on building solutions like roofing products. The spinoff is the biggest shake-up since Holcim took over Lafarge in 2015.

The Swiss building materials giant will remain listed on the Swiss blue chip and is expected to focus on building solutions like roofing products. Jenisch will remain as chairman and lead the planned U.S. listing, capitalizing on the region’s infrastructure and construction boom to accelerate growth and unlock value for stakeholders. Holcim sees the U.S. as one of the world’s most attractive construction markets.
