A Bitcoin wallet from the “Satoshi era” woke up after 14 years, moving $442 million worth of BTC. Data shows the whale sent 150 BTC, valued at over $16 million, in one transaction. The whale may have once had 7,850 BTC and was last active in June 2011.

Bitcoin is currently trading at $110,604, making the whale’s stash worth $442 million. Another user stated the whale once held 8,000 BTC and has been selling off holdings for years. The whale’s address now shows a balance of 3,850 BTC after moving 150 coins.

A different Satoshi-era Bitcoin whale with 80,201 tokens shifted its holdings to Galaxy Digital after 14 years of dormancy. Crypto analyst Willy Woo noted whales with over 10,000 BTC have been selling since 2017. Analysts say OG Bitcoiners selling off holdings is not concerning as new buyers are entering the market.
