Rio Tinto has made changes to its Board of Directors, expanding to 14 members to support continuity and effective onboarding. Simon Henry stepped down as a Director, with Sharon Thorne taking over as Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee. Martina Merz also resigned to focus on building innovation ecosystems. Ben Wyatt is now the Senior Independent Director for Rio Tinto Limited, focusing on Board engagement in Australia. Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz replaces Martina Merz on the Sustainability Committee.
