KBC Group has agreed to acquire Business Lease Czech Republic and Business Lease Slovakia for €72m ($83.5m) to extend its leasing operations in Central Europe. Business Lease operates under the Dutch AutoBinck Group, managing a fleet of 30,000 vehicles with 244 employees across the CEE region.
The acquisition by ČSOB Leasing Czech Republic and ČSOB Leasing Slovakia, both KBC Group affiliates, aims to strengthen the group’s position in the Czech and Slovak markets. The combined unit is expected to become a top player in operating leasing vehicles, enhancing operational efficiencies.
Autobinck Group CEO Vincent Weijers mentioned that amid market consolidation, partnering with larger players offers growth opportunities. The sale of Czech and Slovak operations to KBC is the first step in that direction. The acquisition is set to be completed by the first quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
In March 2025, KBC Bank member ČSOB integrated nCino’s commercial lending platform to digitize and streamline its lending services. The move aligns with KBC Group’s strategy to enhance its offerings and efficiency in the commercial and SME lending sector.
