Baby and pet care company Angelcare Group invests over C$20m in a new logistics and packaging center in Milton, Ontario. The facility will serve as Angelcare’s national warehouse and distribution hub, focusing on packaging clumping cat litter. The site’s strategic location near major transportation hubs positions it as a key node for the group’s North American supply chain and export operations. CEO Rahul Sharda emphasizes the investment’s importance in strengthening Angelcare’s supply chain and creating new opportunities. The center will initially create 15 full-time positions, with plans to double as production increases and exports expand. An automated packaging line with an annual capacity of 4.6 million boxes has been installed, with room for two more lines in the future. The site will package Litter Genie Light, a cat litter product made from Canadian bentonite clay that is additive-free, 99% dust-free, and 20% lighter than other national brands. Sustainability measures were integrated into the center’s development to reduce transport emissions, including energy-efficient lighting, HVAC systems, and optimized logistics planning. Angelcare envisions the Milton center evolving into an innovation hub with an on-site research and development laboratory, demonstration space, and training center to support product development and cross-functional collaboration across its portfolio.
