The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 47,000 for the first time after government data release. The blue-chip index rose 472 points, or 1%, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite also saw gains. All three indexes ended the week with record highs.
Dow reached 46,000 just 31 trading days ago, hitting its second thousand-point milestone of 2025. S&P 500 had its best week since August 8th.
