Skyharbour Commences Diamond Drilling Campaign at its
From GlobeNewswire:
Skyharbour Resources Ltd. has started an 8,000 meter winter drilling campaign at its recently optioned 73,294 hectare Russell Lake Uranium Project in Saskatchewan. The drilling will consist of 5,000 meters at Russell and 3,000 meters at the adjacent Moore Uranium Project. The company’s geologists and drilling crew are working at an exploration camp located on the McArthur River-Key Lake haul road. Skyharbour’s President and CEO, Jordan Trimble, expressed confidence in the discovery potential at both projects due to the high-grade mineralization in historical drill holes and the many prospective target areas. The company is fully funded and permitted for this winter drill campaign and future drilling. The first phase of drilling at Russell will focus on the Fork and Grayling East targets and the M-Zone Extension target. The adjacent drill program at Moore will focus on infill and expansion drilling at the Maverick Corridor and testing of regional targets, including the Grid Nineteen target area. All-in drilling costs are lower due to the proximity of infrastructure, such as the mine and mill haul road and the exploration camp.
At the Russell Lake Project, new drill targets have been identified. The drilling program will focus on the road-accessible Fork and Grayling East targets within the broader Grayling target area as well as the M-Zone Extension target. Three angled holes, totaling 1,500 meters, are planned for the Fork target. At the Grayling East target, several conductors are present within a broad magnetic low, and limited historical drilling encountered intervals of significant structural disruption, highly prospective alteration within the sandstone and underlying basement, and local pathfinder element enrichment associated with faulting and graphitic intervals.
The winter drilling program at Moore will consist of 3,000 meters in eight to ten holes. Skyharbour plans to carry out infill and expansion drilling at the high-grade Maverick Corridor and test several regional targets, including the Grid Nineteen target area. At the Maverick Corridor, the company plans to further delineate and expand the currently identified mineralized zones. The Maverick Main Zone is characterized by significant uranium mineralization at a best interval of 6.0% U3O8 over 5.9 meters at 265.0 meters depth. At the Maverick East Zone, a high-grade uranium intercept of 1.79% U3O8 over 11.5 meters at 270.0 meters depth was previously drilled. Additional regional drilling at Moore will primarily take place in the Grid Nineteen area, where the Slice Pond Conductor and accompanying structural zone has been confirmed by drilling over a strike length of 800 meters to date.
